William Stanley Felton

December 23, 1933 - April 23, 2021

Willian Stanley Felton born December 23, 1933 in Pillager Minnesota to parents Albert and Doris Felton. Younger brother Gary Felton passed in December 1982. The family moved to Oregon in 1943. William was married to Verda Holstad in 1953. They had three children, Dan Felton, Denise Cranfill and DeAnn O’Neil. 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Bill worked in the Plywood Industry for 8 years and then started working for Willamina Lumber for a period of 20 1/2 years. In 1981, Bill became a Farmers Insurance Agent. He retired in 1998.

Bill was a Volunteer Fireman for 20 years and then became Fire Chief for 1 1/2 years. Bill sat on the board of directors for the Fire Department for 2 years.

Bill was part of the Kiwanis for over 20 years and was awarded Kiwanis of the year in 1993-94. He was awarded Citizen of the Year through Chamber in 1992.

Bill also served on the Planning Commission for 2 years.

Celebration of Life will be May 1st at 1:00 pm, at the Willamina Christian Church.
