July 12, 1942 - September 2, 2020
Thomas Arthur Dade entered into his heavenly home September 2, 2020. He was born July 12, 1942, in Brainard, Minnesota, to Cliff and Leone Dade.
Tom started working as a young boy in the bean and berry fields. A hard working man his whole life, he later worked at the paper mill in Gardner, Oregon, U.S. Plywood, and various saw-mills. He also enjoyed commercial fishing out of Depoe Bay and Garibaldi, Oregon and southeast Alaska. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially fishing.
Tom was a great and honest man (well, except for a few of the fishing stories) who loved his family, always supporting them however he could. He was a member of Sheridan Baptist Church, and rested his hope for eternity in the salvation of Jesus Christ.
He is survived by his sister, Sharon (Dade) Martin; his wife Myrna (Reeser) Dade; his four daughters; Shelly (Dade) Lake, Laura (Dade) Lake, Kristy (Stanton) Hamilton, and Melissa (Stanton) Adkinson; twelve grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren (soon to be twelve).
Viewing will be open Wednesday, September 9, 2020, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the West Valley Funeral Home in Sheridan, Oregon. The Graveside Service will be Thursday, September 10, 2020, at 10:00 am at Buck Hollow Cemetery in Sheridan, Oregon.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Sheridan Baptist Church Children’s Education Center or Saint Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
