Donn’s Celebration of Life will be held at the Sheridan Mennonite Church, Saturday Jan. 12, 2019 at 2:00 PM

The fourth child of Alvin and Wilma Nisly, Donn Gabriel Nisly was born on Nov. 3rd 1950 in Portland, Oregon. He grew up in Sheridan and graduated from Western Mennonite School.

Donn served two years in a hospital in Pennsylvania during the Viet Nam era.

He married Della Hasslen on Dec 13, 1986 in Willamina, Oregon.

Donn worked for Taylor lumber for about twenty years, and later worked for and retired from Long Haul Propane.When not working he loved to be with his family, BBQ, Race Hydroplanes and rooted for Oregon State no matter what the sport.

Scripture says a man must show himself friendly, and as a man of faith, Donn had many many friends. Donn’s Mennonite roots ran deep. 

Donn is survived by his siblings Marvin Nisly, Wilma Penner and Wanda Martinez; his children Catherine Magness, Paul Hasslen; 8 grand children and 2 great grandchildren.He was preceded by his parents Alvin and Wilma Nisly and his wife Della Nisly.
