Patrick Gerald Lake

September 16, 1967 - September 29, 2021

On Wednesday, September 29, 2021, Pat went home to Heaven to be with his Lord. He was surrounded by his family who loves him very much.

Patrick was born in Portland, Oregon to Clarence and Diane Lake. He spent his younger years in Hillsboro, Oregon until the family moved to Willamina, Oregon in 1978.

Patrick Married Laura (Dade) Lake on September 6, 1986. Together they had three children: Ashley Diane Lake Howard, Brice Patrick Lake, and Cameron Patrick Lee Lake. They have two grandchildren: Louise Howard and William Howard.

Patrick had a 20 year career with the Federal Bureau of Prisons at FCI Sheridan, Oregon.

Patrick was an avid craftsman, woodworker who loved making gifts for his family, outdoorsman, and he made the best chocolate chip cookies ever. He was a quiet, shy prankster who loved nothing more than to play a trick on the ones he loved the most, much to their detriment.

Patrick loved his family well and was very devoted to his wife Laura, and proud of his children and grandchildren. He finished his race and was welcomed home by his mother, Diane Lake, his brother Steven Lake, his father-in-law, Thomas Dade, his Aunt Marie, and many others who went before him.

He will be greatly missed by all those who loved him, but his family is grateful that he can rest now and is no longer in pain.  He was a strong presence in a quiet form.
