Vernon Arthur Edwards passed away September 24th, 2018 peacefully at home at the age of 86 and is being laid to rest in the Willamina Pioneer Cemetery. Vern’s legacy will live on through the lives he has touched and the family he has made. Anyone who ever met or knew Vern would feel his warmth towards them. He was incredibly accepting, respectful, loving and a great example of what a man should be. He would always put others first and would never ask for anything in return. Vern always attributed his strength and knowledge to his walk with God and was a shining light in this world.
Vernon’s service was held at the Sheridan Baptist Church on September 28th, 2018 at 2 o’clock pm. He is survived by his wife of 65 years Ruth Edwards and two children Dorothy Petersen and Robert Edwards as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. He is proceeded by his children Tommy Edwards and Diane Bauer.
