Kenneth “Ken” “Kenny” Ray Nuorala

December 25, 1974 - November 16, 2021

Kenneth Ray Nuorala, 46, passed away peacefully on November 16, 2021 in his home in Sheridan, Oregon; surrounded by his wife, son, family, and friends, after a 15 month battle with cancer.

Ken was born in Sacramento, California on December 25, 1974 to Sandra “Sandy” Ferrara and Ronald “Ronnie” Nuorala. Ken moved to Sheridan, Oregon and lived with Jim Biskey as a teenager, who Ken grew to consider as a Dad. Ken graduated from Sheridan High School and continued to live in Sheridan throughout his adult life, in the very home he shared with Jim Biskey.

Ken experienced many tribulations which led to a struggle with alcoholism. In spite of his struggle, Ken was an amazingly loving and giving man who was well known in the community and loved by all those who knew him. Ken would do anything for anyone at any time, no questions asked.

Ken swore he would never marry; that is until he met his future wife, Leslie. Which her love and support along with that of his friends and family, Ken was successful in overcoming alcoholism, and enjoyed 4 years of sobriety. Ken and Leslie married in 2018 and had a wonderful marriage. Anyone who knew them could easily see how Ken was completely smitten with his wife and loved her dearly.

Ken enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, working in his yard, and spending time with his family and friends. Ken was exceptional at creating anything with his hands, especially when working with wood. His favorite hobby, and his pride and joy, was his 250-gallon saltwater aquarium that marveled anyone who saw it. Most of all, Ken deeply loved and cared for his wife, son, stepchildren, grandchildren, family, as well as his friends. He found a lot of joy in helping them complete projects and accomplish their dreams. Ken will be incredibly missed by those he loved and who loved him.

Ken was preceded in death by his father, “Ronnie” Nuorala; his ‘Dad’, Jim Biskey; and his brother, Anthony “AJ” Anderson. Ken leaves behind his first and only wife, Leslie, who loved and adored him greatly. Ken is survived by his mother, Sandra; his sister, Crystal; his son, Kyden; his stepdaughters Katielyn and her husband Cody; and Cammiejean and her husband Mark; and his grandchildren; Grey, Leeroy, Conor, Faymarie and Sophia, and a new grandson due to be born in March 2022.

A celebration of life will be held in the summer of 2022 so that everyone can gather to share in their love and fond memories of Ken. May he rest in peace and have a joyful eternity in the hands of God. He will be fiercely missed by all and will never be forgotten.
