Russell Sherman Gilbert (Red Fox) was born on May 30, 1961 in Cottage Grove, Oregon to Martina and Russell A. Gilbert.
He grew up in Cottage Grove, Creswell and Coos Bay where he also attended school.
Russell had two brothers Joseph Gilbert and Willie Gilbert and sisters Midge Gilbert and Chiquita Gilbert; Five children: Diedra Alaxender, Kayla Burcham, Makala Gilbert, Samantha Gilbert and Shayanne Gilbert and six grand children.
Russell loved to fish and hunt and was currently living in Crescent, Oregon where he loved to fish in Crescent Lake. He also liked to make Indian jewelery and dream catchers and was an accomplished artist.
Russell “Red Fox” Gilbert Passed away on May 9th, 2019 near Crescent, Oregon.
Viewing and Visitation at the West Valley Funeral Home in Sheridan, Oregon (Formerly Adamson’s);
Funeral Services Saturday May 18th, 2019 1:00 PM at the CTGR Gym in Grand Ronde. Russell will be interred at the Curl Family Cemetery in Otis, Oregon.
