Vernon Edward Macomber, born January 7, 1941 in Newport, NH to George Macomber and Choise Burnham Macomber, died on September 9, 2024.
He graduated with High Honors from Nashua High School and attended Colby College in Maine, the University of California, Berkley, and Rivier College in Nashua, NH. He worked as a computer programmer for many years. He served in the Navy aboard the USS Joseph P. Kennedy; and was a member of the Masons. He had a big heart and a wonderful sense of humor. He was an avid reader, enjoyed traveling and camping, and he loved motorcycles and animals.
He was predeceased by his parents; as well as his brother, Ralph Macomber. He will be dearly missed by his daughters, Cindy Jane MacDonald (fiancé, Alan Daggett) and Christi Jo Carlson (husband, Tim); grandson, Hugh S. MacDonald (fiancé, Alyssa Wood) and great-granddaughters, Zoey and Sophia. He will also be missed by his Mason brothers from NH, MA and OR; and other dear friends who knew and loved him.
Services will be held at the convenience of his family.
