Thomas “Tom” Hall passed away on Saturday, July 20, at 10 am in the Portland VA Hospital at the age of 76 with much of his family by his side.

He is preceded in death by his late wife, Mary Kay Hall, parents, Willard and Myrtle Hall, and baby sister, Shirley Stearns. He is survived by his son Brian Hall, daughter Katy Hall, daughter Tammy Ohmacht, grandchildren Nathan Roberts, Kayleigh Brashear, Tyler Roberts, Joann Baker, Kayla Baker, Caroline Durham, and numerous nieces, nephews, and great- grandchildren. Also included in his family are his companion Barbara Baker, close and dear friends, neighbors, and a very tight Veterans motorcycle riding group who all held a special place in his heart.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Veterans Hospital for their care, assistance, and support in helping his passing be comfortable and peaceful.

He was born November 17, 1947, in Bend, OR. He was an honorable Marine who served the United States during the Vietnam War. He graduated from P.C.C. with an Associate Degree in Diesel Mechanics. He worked for the Cascade Steel Mill in McMinnville, OR, as a Heavy Equipment Operator/Mechanic until he had to retire in 2001 after losing his right leg, above the knee, due to a motorcycle accident.

A Veteran’s Memorial Service will be held at the Willamette National Cemetery, 11800 SE Mt. Scott Blvd., Portland, OR at 2:00 pm on Monday, August 5th. Please arrive 15 minutes early for this service.

We will be doing a tribute ride in his honor to deliver his ashes to his final resting place. All motorcycles and vehicles are welcome to join. We will meet and depart from the Lowe’s parking lot in McMinnville. Kickstands up at 12:15 pm.
