Carol Jean Heim

September 22, 1939 - July 8, 2021

On Thursday, July 8, 2021, Carol Heim, loving sister and aunt, passed away at the age of 81. Carol Jean Heim was born on September 22, 1939, in Portland, OR to Leo and Hazel (Miller) Heim. She graduated in 1957 from Woodrow Wilson High School. She was in the first graduating class. She was employed by Farmers Insurance Group as an entry level file clerk after graduation and remained with Farmers until she took early retirement in 1998 as a manager in Phoenix, AZ. She moved back to Oregon to be close to her sister after her retirement.

Carol had a passion for travel and went to Hawaii, Mexico, Europe and Australia. She particularly loved to cruise on the Caribbean Sea. She was a member of the Oregon Humane Society and loved all animals, especially dogs, cats and tortoises. Carol loved spoiling her 4 nephews and 1 niece. She was an avid collector of Kachina Dolls. She was known for her big smile and quick wit.

Carol was preceded in death by her father, Leo, and her mother Hazel. She is survived by her sister Bobbie and brother Michael, her four nephews, Jeff, Bryan, Kevin and Steven and her once niece Emily. She leaves behind her fur babies, Abby (dog) and Daisy (cat). At her request, a celebration of life will be held in lieu of a funeral service.
