Larry Fred Tennant

August 16, 1945 - August 8, 2024

Larry was born in San Diego, CA.  He grew up in Escondido, CA.  While in high school he worked for Al's Towing.  He met Val Adamson when they both worked for an ambulance company in Escondido.  Val moved to Oregon and started Superior Ambulance in Sheridan, Oregon.  Larry also moved to Sheridan and worked for Val.   Val eventually sold the business to Larry.  Larry also was a reserve police officer for Willamina Police Dept. and Sheridan Police Department while running the ambulance company.  When Larry sold the ambulance company, he enrolled in Mt. Community College Funeral Service program. He and Scott Whitaker commuted every day for 2 years to school.  Larry was also serving his apprenticeship at Adamson's Funeral Home in Sheridan. 

Larry's career in funeral service took him to Brookings, OR; Pendleton, OR where he served at Burns Mortuary; Newberg, OR where he served at Attrell's Funeral Chapel. 

He was also active in Kiwanis and Rotary.

His service will be held September 27, 2024, at West Valley Funeral Home.  Interment will be at Green Crest Cemetery.  Service time is 1:00 pm.
