Debra Lee Swensen

Mrs. Debra Swensen, of Sheridan, passed away February 12, 2020, after an extended battle with ALS. She was born on January 19, 1954, a daughter of the late Wanda and Harold Henderson.

Debra was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Dale Henderson and granddaughter Alexus Lindsey.

She is survived by her husband Carl “Skip” Swensen, three sons and two daughters-in-law, Christopher Lindsey (Shelley) of Phoenix, Arizona, David Swensen (Jenny) of Nixa, Missouri, Brandon Miller of Sheridan, Oregon, and Shawna Marie Overbey of Winfield, Kansas.

She was a loving grandmother to Kayla Lindsey, Samantha Lindsey, Christian Lindsey, Arianna Swensen, Connor Swensen, Amy Hood, Robyn Levin, Cari Cesena, Lynne Cesena and Hoyt Lee Overbey.

In addition, she leaves behind brothers and sisters, Jim Henderson, Ron Henderson, Terri Eldridge, David Henderson, and Jean Ann Farnsworth and many other friends and family members who love her.

Debra was constantly busy raising children, doting on grandchildren, spending time with friends, and learning new skills in her chosen profession. As a healthcare professional, Debbie positively affected the lives of many people in the Yamhill & Polk Counties area before her retirement. She was strong, courageous, persevered through many struggles, and was focused on her family and friends. We will miss her dearly.

A private celebration of life will be held.
